How much does a Telegram bot cost? Workflows, Mini Apps, integrations and maintenance

The price of a Telegram bot depends on more than the number of buttons. Identical menus can conceal either a simple enquiry handoff or a system with scheduling, payments, a CRM and error handling.

To compare proposals, describe the outcome for the customer and your team. Then separate development, external services and ongoing support. This makes it clear what you pay for at launch and which costs remain afterwards.

What determines the development cost

Project component
What increases the workload
Workflows
Different services, branching, returning to previous steps, rescheduling and cancellation
Mini App
A catalogue, calendar, cart, customer account and different screen states
Data
Database structure, action history, access rights and migrating existing records
Integrations
CRM, scheduling, payments, inventory, documents and third-party APIs
Reliability
Duplicate prevention, retries, error logs and staff notifications
Checks and handover
Test scenarios, documentation, access credentials and team training

Start with the main task. “Collect an enquiry and pass it to a manager” and “automatically reserve an available time with a deposit” require different amounts of work.

What a clear estimate should include

The proposal should list the workflows that will operate after launch. For example:

  • the customer selects a service and provides the necessary information;
  • the enquiry is saved in the intended system;
  • a member of staff receives a notification;
  • the customer sees the submission status;
  • pressing the button again does not create another enquiry;
  • a clear next step is available if an error occurs.

Specify languages, the list of messages, data sources and what your team can change independently.

“CRM integration” is not specific enough. Clarify whether it creates only a contact or also an enquiry, task and booking; which statuses return to the bot; and who handles failed transfers.

Why a Mini App is estimated separately

A Mini App adds an interface: screens, forms and visual selection. Beyond the design, it needs a server connection, data handling and loading, error and success states.

When using Telegram user data, Telegram requires validation of Mini App launch data on the server. Values supplied by the interface must not be trusted without verification: see Mini App data validation.

An application with a catalogue and booking functionality therefore cannot be estimated solely by the number of designs. The estimate must cover the actions behind every screen.

How integrations and payments affect the budget

For each external system, check API availability, access permissions, plan restrictions and which data can be retrieved and changed.

A simple enquiry transfer usually needs less logic than synchronising schedules, payments and cancellations. Custom data exchange should be estimated after reviewing the actual systems.

Selling digital goods and services inside Telegram requires accounting for Telegram Stars; physical goods and services use a separate arrangement with payment providers. These have different implementation requirements: see digital payments and payments for physical goods and services.

If AI is added, agree on its specific task, information sources and escalation of complex enquiries to a person. Account for model and external API costs separately from development.

Development costs at iuntsevich.cz

In our published proposal, basic Telegram bot and Mini App development starts from €549. The final price is determined after reviewing the requirements.

Standard workflows are included in the agreed development scope. Complex integrations, AI, larger Mini Apps and custom server-side logic are estimated separately. Paid AI models and external API services are also charged separately.

This starting point does not mean any bot with a calendar, CRM and payments will cost €549. Current terms and examples of tasks are described in our commercial proposal.

What you pay for after launch

Separate the recurring costs:

  • hosting the application and database;
  • CRM, booking system and connector plans;
  • external API and AI model usage;
  • fees for the selected payment arrangement;
  • monitoring, error resolution and maintenance;
  • new features and changes to the agreed logic.

Clarify where fixing a defect ends and a new task begins. Changing a message and connecting another CRM involve different amounts of work.

Agree separately on support costs, incident response times and how improvements are charged. Do not assume they are included in the initial price without confirmation.

An illustrative first-year budget

Suppose the following amounts have been agreed for a specific project:

Expense
One-off
Per month
Development of the agreed workflow
€900
—
Additional integration
€300
—
Hosting and external services
—
€35
Support for the agreed scope
—
€80

All amounts are hypothetical. This is a calculation example, not an agency package or a market average.

Development and integration total €1,200, while recurring expenses are €115 per month. If they apply for all 12 months, the first-year budget is €1,200 + 12 × €115 = €2,580.

The calculation excludes new features, possible taxes, variable transaction fees and expenses for exceeding service limits. Also account for preparing materials and staff time.

How to compare proposals

Send providers the same project description and ask them to specify:

  1. Workflows and the outcome of the first version.
  2. Integrations, exchange direction and error handling.
  3. One-off and recurring costs.
  4. Acceptance criteria and defect correction terms.
  5. How new tasks are estimated.
  6. Handover of code, documentation, accounts and access.
  7. The support scope and who is responsible for operating the system.

Compare the cost of the same outcome. A cheaper estimate may omit cancellations, status transfers or necessary external services.

You can describe your requirements for an estimate on our Telegram bot and Mini App development page. Prepare the main workflow, a list of current systems and the features essential for launch.
